Elusive Geometry part ii - 2017

NEW WORK – ELUSIVE GEOMETRY

Elusive Geometry iiMy latest work ‘Elusive Geometry’ has been uploaded to the portfolio pages.

These four images come from a collaborative project to create artwork to accompany The Reverse Engineer’s 2017 album ‘Elusive Geometry’.

Responding directly to the music and the themes it explores, these images were initially shot in the studio as a performance, creating and photographing sculptures, which evolved alongside the music.

Using a Mamiya Leaf digital medium format camera, large format images were created focusing on different areas of moving sculptures.  These images were then layered in post production to create a series of unique images.

Octon experimental shoot - multiple exposure 1 - shot on Mamiya RZ67

TEST SHOOT: OCTONS, A STUDIO & MAMIYA RZ67

TEST SHOTS ON THE MIGHTY MAMIYA RZ67

I have been doing a lot of experimenting recently, just out of curiosity of what things look like when photographed.

Also making the most of a host of new facilities and equipment I have access to in my new job at UWE.

I am currently doing the artwork for an album (more details to come in due course) and have been working on some multiple exposures for the concept.

Having done it digitally, I was curious as to the effect of doing multiple exposures shot on 120 film in a studio setting.  The images were shot on the Mamiya RZ67

Here are the results – only very quickly scanned and edited to give a taste of the idea so forgive the imperfections.
